The federal government expects a record surge of up to 161,000 unaccompanied minors to flood the US-Mexico border this year, according to a leaked report.

“DHS projections call for approximately 148,000 and 161,000 [unaccompanied children] referrals to [Health and Human Services Office of Refugee Resettlement] this year,” according to an Interior Department projection obtained by the Washington Examiner.

The report, dated January 2022, warned of “monthly projections exceeding those seen in FY 2021” — when a record-shattering 147,000 migrant children entered the US alone, without a parent or family member.

US Customs and Border Patrol agents picked up more than 101,000 unaccompanied minors between October 2021 and May of this year, according to agency tallies — with four months still to go in the fiscal year ending September 30.

Four-time Olympic champion Mo Farah revealed he was taken from his family in Somaliland when he was 9 years old and trafficked to the UK under a different child’s name.

The legendary long-distance runner was brought into England illegally from Djibouti and was forced to do housework and childcare in exchange for food, he said in a preview clip from the upcoming BBC documentary, “The Real Mo Farah.”

“The truth is I’m not who you think I am,” he said in the documentary which will be broadcast this week.

The 39-year-old father-of-four revealed his real name is Hussein Abdi Kahin.

Farah, who became the first British track and field athlete to win four Olympic gold medals, said his children motivated him to be truthful about his past.

In an effort to help keep young people safer on the platform, Instagram has launched a new feature called supervision. It’s similar to TikTok’s family pairing features, in that it allows parents to link their Instagram accounts to their children’s to provide a little oversight. To use Instagram supervision, parents must be 18 or older, and the child must be between the ages of 13 – 17 and agree to the supervision.

Supervised accounts are not a perfect system, mainly because supervision has to be approved by the child, and once in place, can be removed unilaterally at any time. This means your child has to be 100% okay with being supervised — and stay being okay with it.
