09-30 Warriors Take Action: We Need You. KFC Advertises on Vile Disney Owned FXX Streamer Animation “Little Demon”
Another victory for families! It now looks like Sonic Drive-In is now off “Little Demon.”
After airing FOUR ad spots the previous week, Sonic ran ZERO ads on the most recent episode! Not only that, other corporations we had reached out to privately also appear to have pulled their sponsorship.
So far, EVERY company we’ve asked you to contact about “Little Demon” appears to have pulled their sponsorship.
This is great news for families!
We are seeing great success, thanks to you and your activism, so let’s keep the momentum going!
A new sponsor this week is KFC, part of the Yum! Brands family of restaurants – and a chain that was built around family meals together.
Ads for KFC ran in all three commercial breaks during the most recent episode.
So KFC needs to hear from you. They need to know that this is unacceptable, and that their sponsorship behavior will inform your purchasing behavior.
Take action now by clicking HERE to send your message to KFC/Yum! Brands.
Let’s send a LOUD and CLEAR message to Disney and FXX that if they want to pollute the airwaves with this kind of toxic content, they will have to eat the cost — because no responsible sponsor will want to be associated with it.
09-29 Twitter is a Crime Scene: Exclusive Brands Blast Twitter for Ads Next To Child Pornography Accounts (CSAM)
(Reuters) -Some major advertisers including Dyson, Mazda, Forbes and PBS Kids have suspended their marketing campaigns or removed their ads from parts of Twitter because their promotions appeared alongside tweets soliciting child pornography, the companies told Reuters.
Brands ranging from Walt Disney Co, NBCUniversal and Coca-Cola Co to a children’s hospital were among more than 30 advertisers that appeared on the profile pages of Twitter accounts peddling links to the exploitative material, according to a Reuters review of accounts identified in new research about child sex abuse online from cybersecurity group Ghost Data.
Some of tweets include key words related to “rape” and “teens,” and appeared alongside promoted tweets from corporate advertisers, the Reuters review found. In one example, a promoted tweet for shoe and accessories brand Cole Haan appeared next to a tweet in which a user said they were “trading teen/child” content.
“We’re horrified,” David Maddocks, brand president at Cole Haan, told Reuters after being notified that the company’s ads appeared alongside such tweets. “Either Twitter is going to fix this, or we’ll fix it by any means we can, which includes not buying Twitter ads.”
In another example, a user tweeted searching for content of “Yung girls ONLY, NO Boys,” which was immediately followed by a promoted tweet for Texas-based Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital. Scottish Rite did not return multiple requests for comment.
09-28 Excellent Report from AARP: 2022 – Our Kids in Crisis
Gabrielle Carlson was ready to pull the fire alarm. It was October 2021, and Carlson, then president of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, saw a world of kids in crisis: Soaring rates of depression and anxiety. Families under siege by pandemic-fueled disruptions. Dramatic increases in emergency room visits for childhood psychiatric crises.
And then there were the suicides.
Nearly 1 in 10 high school students admitted they had tried to take their own life in the previous 12 months, according to a survey published by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and 1 in 5 had seriously considered it.
Suicide rates among adolescents had risen nearly 53 percent between 2010 and 2020; it was now the second-leading cause of death for people ages 10 to 18. Then came the pandemic, and the lockdowns, and the isolation, and the increased reliance on virtual schooling and socializing. And everything got worse.

09-25 Nearly 300K Children Were Targeted by Predators on Twitch: Report
An independent investigation into the popular online streaming platform Twitch has revealed several disturbing reports of child predator behavior. Approximately 280,000 children were targeted over a span of nearly two years.
Reader discretion is advised, as this article contains references to child abuse.
The independent investigation, conducted by Bloomberg, identified the mass targeting of children by child predators, who would coerce the young streamers into doing lewd acts on stream. According to the results, approximately 2,000 users were discovered to be specifically following younger streamers during the 22-month period of research.
Of those nearly 2,000 users, hundreds of them followed over 1,000 child streamers exclusively, which, according to the researchers, indicated “that many exist primarily to catalog, watch, and manipulate children.”
In an official statement to Bloomberg, Twitch said that “Preventing child harm is one of our most fundamental responsibilities as a society. We do not allow children under 13 to use Twitch, and preventing our service from being used for harm is one of our biggest priorities.”

09-23 TikTok Pulls Posts for Weight Loss Drugs that Reached Kids
TikTok allowed content promoting prescription drugs as weight loss aids to reach teenagers, according to a report by The Pharmaceutical Journal.
The journal set up a new TikTok account, indicating to the platform that the user was a 16-year-old girl and began searching for content under #dietpills, looking closely at the top 100 posts. Of the 100 videos, researchers found that nearly a third promoted diet pills for weight loss. Under the “diet pills” term, organic posts named prescription drugs for epilepsy, migraines, and addiction. Some of the posts flagged by the journal to TikTok were eventually removed, The Guardian reports.
In 2020, the company updated its policies by banning ads for fasting apps and weight loss supplements and limiting ads for “weight management products” to users 18 and up. Yet the test account by The Pharmaceutical Journal was able to find posts selling diet pills. Some users also made daily video diaries as they took the medication or shared before and after photos to show apparent weight loss.
