02-13 DC. The Warriors are Proud to Announce Being Part of the Newly Launched “Alliance to a Safe Online Future”

We believe that policy change is necessary to keep our kids safe online. It’s no longer a choice whether children will use the internet – it’s a fact of life. And it’s our responsibility to make sure they can do so safely.

Deepfakes & Voice Clones – The proliferation of AI-generated voice and image clones online is a threat to all of us. These deepfakes are being used to scam & manipulate children and adults, spreading misinformation and allowing criminals to impersonate others for their own gain.

Section 230 Reform – As written, Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act creates safe harbors online for bad actors by granting broad immunity to online platforms for illegal activity occurring on their websites and apps. We need to reform Section 230 to ensure that these tech giants are held accountable for what happens on their platforms.

02-09 WARNING. DISTURBING. Alexander Brothers will Face More Charges as 60 Women Allege Rape, Prosecutors Say

NEW YORK – Two luxury real estate agents and their brother were arraigned in federal court Friday on sex trafficking charges.

Prosecutors said they’ve spoken to more than 60 alleged victims of the three men so far.

The Alexander brothers – twins Oren and Alon, and their older brother Tal, all in their late 30s – entered the courtroom wearing prison clothing with their hands cuffed and feet shackled. They pleaded not guilty.

Prosecutors allege the three worked together and with others to drug, sexually assault and rape dozens of victims, luring them in with the promise of romantic relationships, luxury travel, parties and events.

Tal and Oren Alexander were luxury real estate agents in New York City and Miami. In 2019, Tal Alexander gave CBS a tour of a Manhattan penthouse. Alon Alexander was a private security firm owned by the family.

02-07 Sound the Alarm! Parents Beware During Super Bowl. Carl’s Jr. New Ad Takes a Page from Porn

The Parents Television and Media Council (PTC) is warning parents and families about a sexually suggestive new Carl’s Jr. ad to air on traditional and streaming television outlets ahead of the February 9 Super Bowl game. The ad is already available to watch online.

“Carl’s Jr. has taken a page from the pornography industry with the sexually suggestive imagery that references a ‘money shot’ in its new ad, and families should beware as the ad will air before the Super Bowl game on different media outlets,” said Melissa Henson, vice president, Parents Television and Media Council.

“Using ‘soft core porn’ to sell burgers was Carl’s Jr.’s previous strategy years ago – and one we called out. In 2017 the company appeared to have a change of heart, wisely realizing that strategy was ‘distracting.’ But like Hollywood ‘s mindset of reviving old ideas, Carl’s Jr. must have dusted off its outdated playbook, forgetting that it alienated customerswith its racy ad campaigns years ago.

“We urge Carl’s Jr. to reconsider airing this ad campaign. We also warn parents to try to steer clear of this commercial over the coming weekend,” Henson said.

02-05 The U.S. Government May Buy TikTok?

  • President Donald Trump signed an executive order that outlines plans for a government-run sovereign wealth fund to serve as an economic development tool and perhaps be used to buy TikTok.
  • Though the idea of such a U.S. fund has been brought up before, they are generally used by smaller nations with vast natural resources as well as fiscal surpluses to deploy.

02-04 February is Teen Dating Violence & Awareness Month – Dating Violence is More Prevalent than You Think

February 2025

Dating violence is more common than you may think, especially among teens and young adults: 1 in 3 U.S. teens will experience physical, sexual, or emotional abuse from someone they’re in a relationship with before becoming adults. And nearly half (43%) of U.S. college women report experiencing violent or abusive dating behaviors.

Each February, young adults and their loved ones nationwide raise awareness about teen dating violence through Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month (TDVAM). This annual, month-long effort focuses on advocacy and education to stop dating abuse before it starts.

We’re excited to announce the 2025 theme for TDVAM is “Respect That.” Selected by the love is respect Youth Council, “Respect That,” is a powerful concept that can transform relationships. Respecting someone isn’t just a vague idea; it’s action and a mindset. The theme “Respect That” highlights the importance of treating partners with dignity, listening to their viewpoints, respecting their boundaries, and valuing their autonomy by focusing on “respect.”
