One Craven County K9 is getting praise after finding a missing 11-year-old this week.

The Craven County Sheriff’s Office says just after 11:30 p.m. Thursday, deputies responded to the U.S. 17 North area near Bridgeton for a missing child.

During the search, deputies say K9 Vex helped find the 11-year-old.

The child was unharmed and is now back home, according to the sheriff’s office.
