Friday, July 30th commemorates World Day Against Trafficking in Persons.

This year’s theme “Victims’ Voices Lead The Way” highlights the importance of listening to and learning from survivors of human trafficking and sexual exploitation. The survivor voice and lived experience play a key crucial role in establishing effective measures to prevent this escalating crime happening in every town, city and rural area in the United States and around the globe. Learning from victims’ experiences and turning their suggestions into concrete actions will lead to a more victim-centered and effective approach in combating human trafficking.

Please take the Lynn’s Warriors Pledge to learn more about how you can help a survivor thrive and reclaim their lives. Many victims of human trafficking have experienced ignorance or misunderstanding in their attempts to get help. They have had traumatic post-rescue experiences during identification interviews and legal proceedings. Some have faced revictimization and punishment for crimes they were forced to commit by their traffickers. Others have been subjected to stigmatization or received inadequate support. Your support of Lynn’s Warriors helps fund continued education in our communities about this issue. Your generosity also provides financial support for survivors of these crimes so they may focus on rebuilding themselves, families and find economic empowerment to live their lives free of these human rights abuses and to help keep our communities safe and strong.
