We have an epidemic going on in the United States. Let’s once and for all discuss these critical and crucial issues openly and honestly affecting every town, city and rural area in America. No one is exempt. What’s needed? Recovery. Resources. Take actions. #communitycreateschange Mike Anthony Jones joins the Warriors to explain why he created the Recovery Channel Streaming Network. Mike has a very personal reason â he lost his beautiful son to illicit fentanyl. We are so thankful to Mike for being the voice for so many parents, family members and the public, that are vulnerable and suffering traumas. Mike, along with you, wants to empower the next generation.
The Recovery Channel is a 24/7 365 platform available now on Roku, full of original content and just getting started. The goal of TRC is raising awareness, education, health and wellness, expert guests, resources, healing, take actions, community forums and so much more. Approximately 25 million people in America suffer from substance use disorder (SUD), and 22 million are in recovery. This issue also impacts around 30 million family members. Altogether, nearly 80 million Americans have been affected by SUD. Alarmingly, addiction rates are rising among youth as young as 12, with those under 14 experiencing the fastest-growing death rate from fentanyl. This stark reality highlights the urgent need for widespread awareness. The TRC audience will include those directly affected, medical professionals, law enforcement, and emergency services personnel who frequently encounter SUD cases.
