CAMP HILL, Pa. —A new coffee shop is being built in Camp Hill, Cumberland County, but with a twist. What used to be a hair salon will now be a coffee shop that will employ survivors of sex trafficking. The organization that is helping put this together is trying to transform this building into a welcoming space for all to gather and listen. To some, this future shop will be a place to get a delicious cup of coffee, but to others, it’s a new beginning.
“Our coffee shop, we will have survivors of the commercial sex industry working here, but we’ll also have support people with them,” said Patty Seaman of Peace Promise.
