THE NATIONAL SUICIDE PREVENTION LIFELINE is now: 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. 988 has been designated as the new three-digit dialing code in the United States. It is a network of over 160 crisis centers that provide 24/7 confidential service via a new 988 dialing code. It is available to anyone in suicidal crisis or emotional distress.
